Our Mission: To empower Northwest Virginia dental hygienists through accessible continuing education, strategic legislative representation, and impactful community oral health programs. Our Vision: A regional healthcare landscape where evidence-based preventive oral care is universally accessible, and every hygiene professional operates at the highest level of clinical autonomy and authority.
The Northwest Virginia Dental Hygienists Association (NWDHA) serves as the primary professional collective, continuing education hub, and advocacy body for licensed dental hygienists, oral health educators, and hygiene scholars throughout the Shenandoah Valley and Northwest Virginia. Operating as a vital regional component of the Virginia Dental Hygienists' Association (VDHA) and the American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA), NWDHA connects localized clinical practice with state and national preventive healthcare standards.
